You can lock your notes to prevent further editing, as well as assign them to Notebooks. Besides that, you can resize your notes as you see fit, and that's where the similarities peter out. Markdown formatting is available, and users can utilize it through the usual Markdown shortcuts: Ctrl+B for Bold, Ctrl+I for Italic, and so on. It's nice seeing the latter option here, as Sticky Notes does not currently have such a function.
The interface is quite similar to the one of Sticky Notes: you can change the color of your notes, and there's also an Opacity setting to increase or decrease their transparency.
The app will then automatically boot up, and you'll be able to start writing things down. The program is as easy to configure as its name suggests: it's all a simple process, so going through the setup is something that any user will be able to do without a problem. It's a note-taking program, looking much like the built-in solution, but with a few changes: write things down, set alarms for what's most important, and group everything under Notebooks. If so, Simple Sticky Notes might be up your alley. Sticky Notes is a good, built-in tool to handle those duties, but what if you're out for a third-party solution? While we would have liked to have seen an alarm system like some other sticky note programs provide, we have no complaints with Simple Sticky Notes’ straightforward system and its fine way of keeping notes for free.Taking notes can be done in a variety of ways: as more and more people have transitioned to jotting spur-of-the-moment thoughts on their phones, where does that leave the PC users? You can use Microsoft Word or Notepad as a journal of sorts, but that's not very efficient. While the notes aren’t automatically stacked on top of one another, but staggered, this is still a great way to look at notes that have been minimized and forgotten.
The tray menu gives users the opportunity to show all notes and sort them to stay organized. The size can also be adjusted on the note, but that’s the end of the formatting options. However, this one can have its color changed and its transparency adjusted thanks to the pull down menu at the top of the note. From the tray, users create a new note, which pops up as a yellow sticky note. This free program embeds itself in the system tray and offers very little beyond the capability to make and sort notes, which is perfectly fine with us. Simple Sticky Notes lives up to its title by providing a simple way of reminding yourself of important notes. Take down all those annoying yellow reminder papers off your office wall and keep them neatly organized on your computer desktop.
